Easter Banner made with vintage wallpaper and nests
These are some of my favorite, beautiful wallpapers! This banner is made up of ovals and triangles with a wooden center piece. Center is 4-1/2 x 8" and is edged with narrow tatting with sheer embellished pink trim at the bottom. The center holds an image taken from a Victorian Easter card trimmed with velvet posies. At the bottom, I've added a luscious rose taken from a vintage cosmetic box.
Two triangles feature German die cut roses added to painted metal frames. They are trimmed with layers of lovely tatting and finished with pale pink roses.
The ovals are also edged in old trim, and one features the phrase "happy Easter" taken from a victorian postcard then edged in ruffled pink ribbon, and topped with a faded, Easter grass nest and vintage white dove watching over a speckled egg.
The second oval also has an egg in a nest, and there is a blue, netting butterfly "flying" above the piece on a wire. The card on this one reads: "My Grace is sufficient for thee" and is adorned with flowers and a sweet bird.
Both ovals are finished with a bundle of old netting and lace.
All are tied with blue seam binding onto more of the same .
