Kit to make a Spring banner with vintage wallpaper with rhinestone bug from an old brooch
This kit contains all the vintagey goodness that you will need to create an Easter banner. There are no instructions, it is left up to the artist to make her own decisions, although in my photos, I show a suggestion of how I would glue the bits together, if I were making it myself. But please feel free to change it up as you'd like! Also, on the package itself, is a little hand made nest with a speckled egg that could be used in the banner if you'd like.
This kit contains:
My favorite glue is The Ultimate. I store it upside down in a cup, it always does well in these banners for me
If you want to straighten your ribbons before using, a flat iron for hair dressing works well and is quicker than setting up an iron and ironing board.
When I make a banner, I use a Crop-o-dile to punch holes to hang with, cut seam binding to pull through the holes, and use that to tie it to the ribbon it will hang from
I reccomend using the large piece in the center since it is heavy and will hang more evenly that way. Make sure that however you decorate your pieces, that they are balanced on each side of the center segment, to keep it hanging correctly. If you add something heavy to a piece on the left, please add one to a piece on the right too.
I like to run an ink pad along the edges of each wallpaper covered segment too. My favorite? Silver ink pads look nice on these pieces.
